Welcome to the very first edition of The Dudley Herald

This
year The Dudley Open moves into the world of online publishing
with this brand new publication, featuring all the news, reviews
and gossip surrounding the tour.
With
extensive images and even high definition video, it's the place
to be.
We've
even got our own agony aunt to dish out advice where needed.
There's
a classified ads section where you can probably pick up a bargain,
and for 2011 we've re-introduced an even higher tech version of
the Dudley Open Swing Analyser!

Dear
Flo
I am a regular golfer and quite a good one (I like to think).
I watch Sky Sports to get tips from the pros and play every weekend.
But my biggest problem is my annual golfing tournament. The guys
see me as the life and soul of the party, always ready with a
joke and a laugh. But inside the story is different: I am constantly
sad and upset. I have been trying to win this tournament for so
long, I seem to get so close
but bottle it at the last minute.
Do you think I should stop playing and admit defeat, or carry
on hoping
..and joking.
B, Midlothian
Dear
B
You poor chap! What must it be like to have kept all that despair
bottled up inside you for all these years? It's hard, I know,
but don't stop believing. Wean yourself off Sky Sports, stick
to uplifting shows of how the underdog can win respect (Glee and
Ugly Betty are my personal favourites) and always carry hope in
your heart. And you'll never walk alone. Embrace life, believe
in your golf, and most importantly believe in yourself. Because
you're worth it.
