FRIDAY - PRESTWICK ST. NICHOLAS
Billed as "the 26th oldest golf club in the world",
Prestwick St Nicholas Golf Club is a traditional Scottish links
golf course established in 1851 and occupying a prime position
on the shores of the Firth of Clyde on Scotland's west coast.
The course and club are steeped in history - indeed one of its
founder members was Old Tom Morris, who was based in Prestwick
prior to returning east to St Andrews and his place in golfing
legend.
The course is a traditional Scottish links with gorse, deep bunkers
and a seemingly ever present wind which tests the skills of players
of all abilities.
