Just one point separated Smith (40), Wilson (41), Clark and Sparks (both 42) and Bridges (43). Then there was a gap of three points, with a subsequent recount by the committee revealing the final rankings actually ran like this:
Harper and Monaghan tied in third place on 46 points, just beaten by Jennings on 47 points. And of course the winner by just one highly significant and desperately fought over point was the inimitable Dr. Golf on 48 points.Full Scores

So to rapturous applause and a sense of a job well done, another golf classic was wrapped up. Apart from reminding everyone that next year will be the 10th anniversary of our venerable competition - to be held on the weekend of June 13th 2008 in foreign climes - all that remains is to wish all our readers a fond farewell and leave them with the memorable image of our Dudley Diddy for 2007, Señor Slowhand Ricardo Erdal.
Hasta la vista en 2008, compadres.
