If you've been playing close attention, you may have rightly
suspected that the previous page is information from the club's
website. The setting was surely stunning, but the condition of
the course was almost unplayable. Admittedly there had been heavy
rain, but this seems to pose a perennial problem for the course.
As the club is so new, it is looking to build a reputation and
already golfers are divided in their opinions as to whether it
really lives up to its reputation. You can follow the pretty lively
discussion here between its supporters and detractors at this

Golfers love to have excuses for their poor play, and perhaps
we were indeed unfortunate to play a very wet, unknown course
at the end of a tiring weekend. It wasn't long before frustration
crept in as players struggled with soggy turf, punishing rough
that swallowed up balls and cavernous bunkers with very wet sand.
