Scores dropped back again in the final round, perhaps reflecting the tougher course, the stronger breeze or just the physical exhaustion of playing three days in a row in breezy conditions with tough rough and rugged terrain to climb. Indeed, Monaghan only scraped a paltry 11, well off the main pack. In fact none of the players played to their handicaps and achieved a par 36 points. Once again Peters led the way, finishing with 34 to take the sweep for the third time.

So it was hardly surprising that at the end of three rounds, there was no question of the outright winner: Adrian Peters on 57 points.

The rest of the field was led by the Wee-Man with a score of 51, with the others bunched up closely behind him.

The huge gap was most obvious in the gross scores, where Peters carded 124, a full 28 points ahead of the others.

The team event was more closely fought, with the green team beating blue 7-5.
