ROUND 3 SUNDAY - SILLOTH GOLF CLUB

And so the tournament neared its nail-biting finish, with the unpredictability of the eclectic scores providing no indication at all as to who the eventual winner would be.

Many players were bunched up in the midfield between 37 and 43 points, while Robertson, Rooney and Johnson were just a nose in front, reflecting their consistently good scores over the three days. Despite coming last in round 2 at Southerness with a disappointing 18 points, Jago did extremely well overall and managed second place with 47 points.

But at the end of the days experience and relentlessly honed golf skills won the day for Dr. Golf, on 49 points, to win him the trophy for the second time in the tournament's prestigious history.
