Aberfoyle golf club is an 18-hole rolling hillside course situated 1 mile east of Aberfoyle Village. The parkland course has stunning views west to Ben Lomond and south to the Campsie Hills. It is a tricky par 66 with a six par 3 holes, where position from your tee shot is an important factor.
Hole 5, a 208-yard par three downhill to a green protected by a burn at the front.

Good weather, great
golf: El Niño swings a sweet iron at Aberfoyle on Sunday.
As usual, the final scores finished up being incredibly close. The eclectic scoring system meant that it was important for players on Sunday to try and improve on precisely those holes where scoring had been poor in previous rounds. It was significant that the overnight leader, Bridges, only managed to pick up one point where it mattered. Others fared better (Sparks +3, Smith & Jennings +4, High +5 and Bates a commendable +6 points).
