Then down to the serious stuff. This year Jennings yet again didn't quite make the grade, doing so well at 42 points to beat Sparks on 41, but not enough to take the trophy. Maclean finished with a very strong 44 points, but it was Smith's consistency that produced 45 points and victory for the second time in the Dudley Open.
So once again the Man and His Shaft came home to daddy, the Great White Shark
A brief high tea rounded up yet another successful tournament. A long way to come, for sure, but definitely a worthwhile trip. Thanks to everyone for making it such a success. Next year's Dudley Open will be held in the beautiful Scottish borders: see you there!
