THE CHAMPION

As always, there was very little in it at the end of the weekend, with the points in almost a straight running order from 36 through to 46, where Sparks and Rooney Junior tied for third place. Harper edged in front towards the end to score 48 eclectic points.

But ultimately it was Johnson's very consistent scoring of 31, 32 and 33 stableford points that gave him a comfortable finish on 50 stableford points to win the Dudley Open trophy for a second time.

. . . What a performance!

All that remained was the inevitable battle for the (dis-)honour of winning the Dudley Diddy trophy.

This year was another close call, given that several players had posted the odd disastrous score over the weekend.
However the cream generally rises to the top (You mean "Sh*te floats"?! - Ed.) and this year was no exception…
